"Reisebericht Tauchgaenge vor Malta ( 03.Nov. – 11.Nov.2008 ) Es war ein faszinierendes Erlebnis im MIttelmeer zu tauchen. Kristallklares Wasser, Farbe BLAU, Sicht ca. 50 Meter, Wassertemperatur 23 Grad, Luft ca. 20 Grad, keine Gezeiten und keine Strömungen, gigantische Unterwasserflora, Fische in Massen ( die genau so neugierig waren wie ich ), Oktopuss ( e ) ca. 1 Meter gross und dann die Wracks ! Unbeschreiblich !

Mein Favorit, Tug Boat Rozi, liegt in ca. 35 Metern Tiefe. Ich habe sie das erste mal aus 10 Metern Tiefe in voller Pracht gesehen. Ehrlich, ich hatte vor Freude eine Gaensehaut unter Wasser. Es sind schoene Unterwasserfotos von der Rozi im Netz. Adresse folgt unten.

Neben den zahlreichen Wracks haben wir auch Felsen und Höhlentauchgaenge durchgfuehrt. Ein Ausflug nach Gozo ( der Schwesterinsel Maltas ) zum Blue Hole ( eine von der Natur geschaffene Felsformation ) und The Chimney waren einfach fantastische Erlebnisse. Vom Inland Sea aus sind wir durch eine Felsenoeffnung ins offene Meer getaucht. Das Blau ist unbeschreiblich. Fast alle Tauchplaetze sind bequem von Land aus erreichbar.

Daryl ( der Instructor, ein einheimischer Tauchfuehrer ) kennt sich natuerlich bestens aus. Er hat die komplette Organisation uebernommen und bestens durchgefuehrt, von der Hotelbuchung ( mit Internetanschluss ) – Airporttransfer – bis zur Tauchgangsplanung und Durchfuehrung. Also Tauchgaenge vor Malta : supersahnegeil !! Vielen Dank nochmals für die wunderschönen 2 Tage / 4 Tauchgänge auf Malta. Es war auf jeden Fall die richtige Entscheidung mit Aquatica zu tauchen. Daryl ist ein netter,ruhiger Guide der die Tauchgänge an unser Können angepasst hat und uns die Unterwasserwelt von Malta gezeigt hat.

Am Besten hat uns die Höhle in der Anker-Bucht gefallen, war unglaublich aufregend und schön. Super waren auch die beiden Tauchgänge in Cirkewwa. Wir können das Team von Aquatica nur jedem weiterempfehlen.

"Just back from Malta and would like to thank Daryl from Aquatica, for 4 great dives. The first 2 were wreck dives off Manoel Island and Valletta, with the highlight being an encounter with an octopus!

The other 2 dives were off Gozo:- the first was the Blue Hole, where we dived up through a natural chimney - fantastic! The second was an inland lake wuth a tunnel leading out to the sea.

The Gozo waters are rich in sealife and we saw many different species including barracuda, flying gurnard and sea worms. All in all, a great experience and would not hesitate in recommending, plus they’re one of the cheapest!"

"In June my two boys 10 and 12 years old and I went to Malta from Sweden. We had prebooked a Junior Open Water at Aquatica.

My kids had a very intresting and hard working week at the divecenter, and after this week we left Malta with two smiling new licensed diver.

The education was very systematic and caerful in every single moment. I felt 100 % secure to leave my kids in the water with the swedish talking instructor, and sometimes I even enjoyed them in the water to refresh myself.

"This was my first experience diving with Aquatica, but certainly not my last. I found Daryl of Aquatica to be totally professional, yet above all friendly and so easy to get along with (almost as important as the diving itself).

His knowledge and orientation of the sea life, and dive sites were excellent. The Dive sites he took me on were breathtaking, and he seemed to cannily know the best times to dive them to see the best marine life. "Hi, we are two young tourists from Romania. We had a 7 days holiday in Malta in August 2007. The main purpose of our trip was to gain more experience in diving. After spending a couple of weeks on the internet searching for interesting locations we concluded that Malta was our best choice. It has warm and clear waters, abundant marine life, great diving sites, suited for every level of experience , starting from children and up to wreck or cave divers, but most important well equipped diving centers and very experienced instructors.

We found a lot of dive centers from Malta searching the web but we were impressed by Aquatica’s offer and the professionalism of it’s web site. While all the other sites replied our questions with an automatically general offer, Daryl presented us in advance with clear and direct informations about the course and prices, personalized to our needs. In the matter of fact i believe that it’s main quality is the ability to transform a commercial client-owner relation into a warm, relaxing , personal experience , between friends. And that is most important. Instead of choosing a big dive-center, near the hotel, that has great publicity on the web, we went with Daryl, because we knew from the first moment that we can trust him.

During the courses we had some difficulties with my girlfriend which had very little experience in diving but Daryl was very patient and helped her overcome the problem. Another situation that we witnessed during the courses was when Daryl had to dive with two English girls, 12 and 14 years old i believe, during some difficult weather conditions (not extreme :) ). He helped them calm and build confidence in themselves. I don’t want to spoil the pleasant surprises, that you will have during the courses with Daryl, with more examples, i just want to say that next year i will choose Daryl for the Advance Open Water courses without hesitation, and when we will have a kid that wants to dive i will trust Daryl to help him better that i will trust myself.

"Quite difficult task you gave me, I can only say that picked your dive centre because your initial respond to my request was in very friendly manner and your prices were almost the same as others.

On my arrival, on our first meeting in the dive shop you show me a compressor area that was very clean, I saw tanks in very good condition, plus at that point few people were in the shop and you spoken with them confirming their diving time. All those factors even more convinced me that a choice was made the right one.

During my stay you never been late for picking me up from the hotel, that was brilliant. And actual dives, was fantastic, very good chosen spots for dives, very good timing, when no “divers-aquarium” in the water. Having you, very experienced diver, as a buddy and an instructor made my time under water fantastic pleasure. With you I met nice people, and as I said, everything was in fantastic friendly manner. Keep that!

"I did my PADI Advance course at Aquatica in St. Pauls Bay, Malta. There was only a few hours in the classroom while most of the time was spent diving. This is a wonderful place to dive as some of the sites are spectacular, the water is not too cold and the cost of the course is good too.

The instructor (Daryl) is very laid back and easy going so it makes the whole course more enjoyable.

If you are going make sure to take a dive at the Cave beside the Popeye vilage. Excelent"
